Deirdre O’Kane

Comedian and actress

Deirdre has been at the forefront of Irish comedy for decades as well as being an actress. Born in Drogheda, she spent a decade in London before returning to Ireland. In recent years she has appeared in Moone Boy and won an IFTA for her performance in the critically acclaimed film Noble, which she and her husband Stephen Bradley produced based on children’s rights campaigner Christina Noble. Deirdre was also nominated for an IFTA for her role in Paths to Freedom and has been the narrator on Googlebox Ireland alongside Rory Cowan. She was a finalist in the 2018 series of Dancing With The Stars.
